Rick vocalist and bass player
Born
and raised in Mechanicville, NY, Rick is a self taught bass and guitar player
who began playing with various
local
groups during the British invasion of the 1960's. Bought his first bass
at George's Music in Troy.
Rick
has played bass and done vocals in a multitude of venues in the Capital
district for the past 40 years including rock and roll, soul and
and
wedding groups (and has probably played at most
wedding receptions in the Albany
area between 1978 and 1983).
In
March 2006, Rick toured Ireland where he came to love the
distinct sound of Irish music and was privileged to perform a solo in
Waterford, Ireland.
Although
the Irish roots are hard to trace, his wife and children can claim heritage to
County Cork (and he has
recently
stayed
at a Holiday Inn Express).
